Museums and Music

Gunfights and saloon girls, hoodoos and Pahaska Tepee, Buffalo Bill’s Irma Hotel and Cassie’s Supper Club are all just a couple short hours and a breathtaking motorcycle ride from Billings, Montana, to Cody, Wyoming.  Of course, you can get to Cody from many other places, but our route had us leaving from Billings on the morning of July 25 and breezing down scenic highway 310.  Our first stop was the Old Trails Town and Museum of the
Old West

Get Ready To Go

When traveling to our region, we’d like to offer up some help tips to help you pack for your trip of a lifetime.

Visiting in the Spring
Springtime in Montana and Wyoming can be extremely mild and exceptionally beautiful, but it’s not uncommon for it to snow in the middle of May.  Make sure you bring a good medium weight jacket.  A sweatshirt or two, a hat, and some gloves will also make your visit more comfortable.  You don’t need to worry about packing too heavy though – you’ll be able to experience warm sunny days worthy of a pair of shorts!

Visiting in the Summer
It gets warm around here in the summer – temperatures usually get into the upper 90’s in late June straight through August.  Make sure you have sunscreen, and you might want to pack some lotion because the air can get quite dry.  But our hot days lead to warm, beautiful star-filled nights that are just perfect for catching a baseball game or hanging out at a drive-in movie theater!
